The Patrol Division has both day and night patrol shifts. These shifts are staffed by individuals with a strong commitment to proactive policing, crime prevention, and working with the community. The Patrol Division is responsible for answering calls for service within the city limits and jurisdiction. Patrol Officers are the first to respond to all calls for service. They are responsible for traffic enforcement, accident investigation, minor criminal investigations, business and residential security checks, assisting citizens and motorists, and enforcing city ordinances and state laws.

The Patrol Division's purpose is to provide safety to our citizens and guests of our community. Through consistent enforcement of traffic laws, thorough accident investigations, identification and elimination of traffic hazards, and DUI enforcement, the department strives to keep our city safe.
