ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (June 25, 2026) – As communities across the nation commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence, The Wharf and the City of Orange Beach invite residents and visitors to kickoff the patriotic weekend at the Independence Day Street Party on Thursday, July 2, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Main Street at The Wharf.
Presented by the City of Orange Beach, the free community event will feature an evening of entertainment, including special appearances by Lady Liberty and Uncle Sam, the Bubble Truck, a 360 photo experience, bounce houses, an inflatable obstacle course, camel and pony rides, face painting, and more!
“Summer celebrations at The Wharf are always special, and for America’s 250th, we’re pulling out all the stops,” said Lindsey Pearce, Special Events Coordinator + Community Partnerships at The Wharf. “With activities happening across Main Street and Portside, the evening is designed to build across the property before leading into the night’s featured fireworks display and drone show.”
Main Street and Portside will be activated throughout the evening featuring live music, games, interactive activities, roaming performers and more. Guests are encouraged to explore both areas as the entire property comes alive ahead of the nighttime finale.
“Orange Beach has always been a place where people gather to create lasting memories, and America’s 250th birthday gives us an extraordinary reason to do just that,” said Mayor Tony Kennon. “We’re honored to partner with The Wharf on a celebration that showcases the spirit of our community and commemorates this historic moment for our nation.”
The holiday weekend continues beyond the Independence Day Street Party with a variety of events and entertainment across the property. Country artist Gavin Adcock will take the stage at The Wharf Amphitheater on Friday, July 3, the annual Shark Run 5K returns on Saturday, July 4, and guests can enjoy live music throughout the weekend during the Tee Off Turned Up music series at Portside on Main.
