18 city streets to be repaved by end of year; work to begin on West Oak Ridge Drive

Before the end of the year, 18 city streets will be repaved as the Orange Beach City Council voted on Tuesday, Sept. 18th, to approve a low bid of $380,000 to Roads Inc. of NWF.

With the original bid for coming in under budget at $380,000, three more streets were added for $22,768 in a change order approved by the City Council on Tuesday, Oct. 2nd.

The 2018 Roadway Resurfacing Project includes the following:

  • West Oak Ridge Drive and turnaround at end of West Oak Ridge Drive
  • Oak Ridge Loop
  • Seville Circle
  • Pine Circle
  • Fleetwood Circle
  • Manor Circle
  • Sandy Hill Circle
  • Oak Circle
  • Intersection of Holly Street and Bonito Avenue
  • Snapper Circle
  • Bay Circle
  • Magnolia Circle
  • Cotton Bayou Drive
  • Garrett Lane

Three additional streets:

  • Jefferson Avenue
  • Cusack Court
  • Adams Avenue

Work is expected to begin on West Oak Ridge Drive and its side streets during the week of Oct. 8, 2018. Updates on where paving will take place after that area is done will be posted on the city website. All paving must be complete by the end of the year.
