The Planning & Zoning Division assists and serves citizens and developers with the land development process to ensure quality development in Orange Beach. Our division processes applications for site plan review, subdivisions, rezonings, planned unit developments, and variances. Also, our division administers the Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision Regulations, and Comprehensive Plan.
There will be a public hearing before the Planning Commission on Monday, February 10th at 4:00 p.m. to review the Community Preservation and Growth Management Plan (Comp Plan) for the years 2020 through 2035. You may download a draft copy of the Comp Plan here.

Ordinance No. 2018-1283 amending Chapter 50 of the Code of Ordinances for the City of Orange Beach, Alabama, to add a new Article XI, providing for the regulation of vacation rentals in certain residential districts.
