Orange Beach Seafood Festival

Saturday, February 23, 2019 - 10:00am to 4:00pm

The 27th Annual Orange Beach Seafood Festival and Car Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019 at The Wharf on Main Street.  

The festival is the major fundraising event for the Orange Beach Sports Association and supports youth sports in Orange Beach.  The 2019 event will feature a full day of delicious food, 130 artists from throughout the South, and music for the whole family on two stages.  In addition, there will be a large Kids' Zone with activities, a huge car show - featuring antique, classic and hot rod vehicles - and new this year "Paws on Parade," so make plans to bring your furry best friend in costume!

Paws on Parade starts at 1:30 p.m. A minimum donation of $5 is required to participate in the pet parade. Participants must be in costume and may use a wagon, stroller or other small unmotorized decorated "float" that can be pulled. Prizes awarded for first, second and third place for Best Costume/Wagon Float. Registration from noon to 1 p.m. at the Ferris wheel and parade from 1:30-2:15 p.m.

The Car Show will be open from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Please note that the Car Show has moved to the west side of The Wharf to accommodate more vehicles. Vehicles can be registered on the day of the event but everyone is encouraged to sign up beforehand. (Register today: Printable 2019 Car Show Application.) Cars can start checking in at 8 a.m. and must be in place by 9:30 a.m.

The annual Seafood Festival logo contest winner was 12-year-old Channing Robbins, a sixth-grader at Orange Beach Elementary School.

Arts & Crafts Vendor registration is now closed and no more applications will be accepted for 2019.  Food Booth Applications are no longer being accepted for the 2019 festival as well.

Entertainers on Two Stages

Platinum Premier Duo - Marlin Stage - 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. 

Loren & Misty perform a vibrant and diverse variety of music from motown, oldies, country reggae, pop, rock, jazz, soul and R&B.  Loren’s dynamic skills on the seven-string bass guitar provide the backbone for the duos soulful, smooth and heartfelt songs.  Misty’s smooth, sultry vocals will delight you as she engages and draws the audience to participate as the duo takes you back to a time when music was music.

Slipstream  - Marlin Stage - 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Slipstream, from the Florida Panhandle, is a high-energy party band with the soul mission to rock and rhythm you’re listening, dancing and party fun.  Get ready to move and groove to their party beat.

Webb Dalton - Marlin Stage - 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Webb has been playing music for over 40 years opening shows for Garth Brooks, George Strait, Randy Travis, George Jones and others.  Webb has recorded four CDs over the years.  He is influenced by the country greats but also gospel and inspirational songs.  He’s a regular performer at many establishments along the Gulf Coast.

Funky Lampshades - Main Street Stage across from Ferris Wheel - 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. 

This goofy acoustic duo is led by Hunter Myers (vocals/rhythm/percussion) and backed by Austin Thompson (lead guitar and backing vocals).  Hunter is 21 years old, from San Jose, California now living in Gulf Shores.  Austin is 22 years old, from Bay Minette and Gulf Shores.  They have been playing together since they were 12.  They love the older sounds of America, Van Morrison, BB King, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan and the Beatles.  Their music is a blending of all these influences. 

David Jones and Friends - Main Street Stage across from Ferris Wheel - 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 

David is a talented vocalist who wields a mean trumpet!  Playing a mix of traditional jazz as well as contemporary smooth jazz, blues and soul, David is a force on stage expressing pure emotion. 

Jo Jo Pres Band - Main Street Stage across from Ferris Wheel - 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m 

The magical chemistry between Jonathan Newton, Preston Stanfill and Derek Jones is evident immediately.  The three band members constantly push each other "just a little further" making them one of the most sought after live musical acts in the area.  Their high energy performance will leave you wanting more.
