Beach Safety Division Chief Brett Lesinger and Lifeguard of the Year Jean Tinoco

After a vote by his peers on the Orange Beach Surf Rescue squad, Jean Tinoco was named the 2021 Lifeguard of the Year.

Orange Beach Fire Department Beach Safety Division Chief Brett Lesinger presented the award to Tinoco at the close of the summer season. The glass award was created by artist Kerry Park of the Hot Shop at the Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach.

The 2021 Orange Beach Police and Fire Community Cookout will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, October 30th at Waterfront Park.
