The City of Orange Beach Relay for Life Team is gearing up for its fourth summer of fun on the water with the popular Full Moon Paddles.  The paddles have become the number one fundraising effort for the Orange Beach Team.  

The 52nd Annual Orange Beach Volunteer Fire Department BBQ will take place on Saturday, June 9 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. - or until the 'Que runs out - at the Orange Beach Community Center, located at 27235 Canal Road, across the street from Fire Station No. 2.

Due to the implementation of the Expect Excellence Summer Camp and the continued growth of Camp Sunshine, availability of parts of the Recreation Center facilities will be LIMITED during the 11 weeks of summer as the city works with and provides for the youth and children of our community.

On Thursday, May 25, 2018, Governor Kay Ivey introduced two major parts of the Gulf State Park Enhancement Project, the Interpretive Center and East Pedestrian Bridge. The first look took place at the newly constructed Interpretive Center located at 22250-A East Beach Boulevard, adjacent to the Beach Pavilion.

Educational opportunities continue to grow in Orange Beach and the city council continues to provide a helping hand with programs for the local school which is part of the Baldwin County system.

A rehabilitated Green sea turtle, named Obi, is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, May 23 in Orange Beach, according to the Sea Turtle Stranding and Salvage Network.

In observance of Memorial Day, non-essential city offices will be closed on Monday, May 28.

Trash and recycling will not be affected. All routes will run as normal.

Offices will open, with normal hours, on Tuesday, May 29.
