Orange Beach Wildlife Center to hold Volunteer Interest Meeting on March 15

The Orange Beach Wildlife Center is in need of volunteers. A Volunteer Interest Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 15th at 4 p.m. at the Orange Beach Coastal Resources building, 4697 Walker Avenue.

The Wildlife Center needs help with fundraising, capture & transport, animal care, education, special events and construction/building projects.

48th Annual Orange Beach Festival of Art set for March 12-13

While any day is a good day to go to the beach, the Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach is offering a great excuse to visit Pleasure Island in March – the 48th annual Orange Beach Festival of Art is set for March 12-13. The festival will feature 100 booths of local and regional fine art, plus exciting acts on the performing arts and music stages.

Orange Beach Fire to host CPR courses each month

The Orange Beach Fire Department will host CPR courses on the first Tuesday of each month from 6-9 p.m., with the March class being held on March 8th due to the Mardi Gras holiday. 

The course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs first aid and/or CPR training and a course completion card for a job or other regulatory licensing requirements. 

Acting Class set for March 5 at Orange Beach Performing Arts Center

Area actors will have an opportunity to hone their performance chops during an upcoming Adult Acting Master Class slated for Saturday, March 5 from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. at the Orange Beach Performing Arts Center. The workshop will feature veteran Broadway actor Kevin McGuire, who will present various techniques and theories to help sharpen the performance skills of area thespians.

City offices closed on Fat Tuesday, March 1, for 2022 Mardi Gras holiday

On Fat Tuesday, March 1, 2022, all non-essential City of Orange Beach offices will be closed for the Mardi Gras holiday. Garbage routes will not be affected and will run as usual.

City offices will reopen for normal business hours on Wednesday, March 2nd.

Additionally, due to the Mardi Gras holiday, the March 1st City Council meeting has been moved to Tuesday, March 8th.
