At the recent Alabama Wildlife Federation Governor’s Conservation Achievement Awards, Chris Blankenship didn’t know he would be one of those recognized for contributions to the vast natural resources Alabamians enjoy.

The 38th Annual NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship is down to four teams with semifinal action starting at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Orange Beach Sportsplex.

At 1 p.m. No. 4 seed Central Methodist (22-1-0) takes on No. 1 William Carey (21-0-0). At 4 p.m. No. 10 seed Oregon Tech (20-2-1) clashes with No. 3 Tennessee Southern (21-1-0). 

The Orange Beach Police Department has set dates in January and February when officers will conduct Golf Cart Inspections and Permit Registrations in neighborhoods. 

The Orange Beach Garden Club offers three great reasons to attend its 34th Annual Game Day!

 “You can’t beat the food. You can’t beat the camaraderie. You can’t beat the prizes. And, you can’t beat the ways in which this event gives back to the community, “ said Virginia Burkhalter, Garden Club president. 

Ten teams, all from different states, will be competing in Orange Beach starting on November 30th at the 38th Annual NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship.

“Thoroughly Modern Millie” will be the first fully-theatrical presentation by the Expect Excellence Community Theater in the new Performing Arts Center on Canal Road. The state-of-art 710-seat theater also serves as the performance venue for Orange Beach High School, as part of a cooperative agreement between the Baldwin County Public School System and the City of Orange Beach.
