NOAA Fisheries announced over the weekend a 79-day red snapper season for for-hire vessels with federal reef fish permits in federal waters of the Gulf of Mexico.  

Mayor Tony Kennon and the City Council proclaimed May 2022 as Mental Health Awareness Month. Mayor Kennon presented the proclamation to Pat Siano of National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Baldwin County at the council meeting on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

"The Sound of Music" - May 5-8, 2022

Up first, the Orange Beach Middle/High School Conservatory of Fine Arts will present "The Sound of Music" on the main stage with four performances slated for Thursday, May 5th to Sunday, May 8th. 

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Baldwin County will host the Inaugural Mental Health Fair and NAMIWalks Your Way - Baldwin Team from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 30th at HoneyBee Park in Robertsdale.

Campaign keeps safety top-of-mind for both guests and residents

The Orange Beach City Council on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 appointed five members to the first-ever Orange Beach City Schools Board of Education.

The City of Orange Beach’s Coastal Resources Department invites the community to participate in a Wolf Bay Bioblitz Paddle on Saturday April 23, 2022 from 8-11 a.m. at the Wind & Water Learning Center, 26233 Canal Road. 

The Orange Beach Planning Commission is scheduled to meet at 3 p.m. Monday, April 11th for a work session followed by 4 p.m. regular meeting in the Council Chambers at City Hall.

The City of Orange Beach will observe Good Friday on April 15th and all non-essential offices will be closed. 

Trash and recycling routes will run on normal schedules and will not be affected. City offices and facilities will reopen for normal business hours on Monday, April 18th.

Five new Orange Beach police officers were introduced to City Council members and the community during the council meeting on Tuesday, April 5, 2022.

Police Chief Steve Brown introduced officers Dustin Clark, Carlos Clere, Tyler Flowers, Angela Brown and Tyler Peck.
