City of Orange Beach Municipal Employee Benefits

  1. Health Insurance

All full-time employees and their dependents are eligible for health insurance coverage, which will become effective on the first day of employment. The City contributes toward the cost of health insurance coverage for the employee. If the employee chooses to cover his/her dependents it is done by payroll deduction twice per month.

Note: The City of Orange Beach Health Plan recommends the BlueCross BlueShield of Alabama website to access machine-readable files as required by the Transparency in Coverage Rule. The files include negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between this plan and healthcare providers. The files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to access and analyze healthcare pricing data more easily.
