WEATHER UPDATE FOR CITY OF ORANGE BEACH
Updated on September 25, 2023
Overall Forecast:
Increasing clouds by midweek could bring some much needed rain. Otherwise most days will be partly to mostly sunny skies with Highs in the mid to upper 80s. Lows will average in the mid to upper 60s
Severe Weather:
No severe weather in the forecast.
Tropical Outlook:
*Tropics have a few active storms developing.
*A trough of low pressure in the southeastern Gulf of Mexico is very disorganized and is expected to be slow in developing, if it ever develops at all. A 10% chance this system will develop into a tropical depression or storm.
*Tropical Storm Philippe developed over the weekend but will have a hard time finding any strength. Expect Philipe to most likely stay a tropical storm or very weak hurricane as it stays out in the Atlantic with no threat to any land mass.
*Another area of low pressure is just to the southeast of Philippe and is forecast to follow Philippe's footprints. This system will most likely be our next named storm.
