Senior Center

The Orange Beach Senior Center opened in January 2003. The center is located adjacent to the Orange Beach Library. Amenities include arts and crafts, a game room, a multi-purpose room, and a screened porch overlooking Wolf Bay. Senior adult programs are offered throughout the year by professional staff.  For information about programs and activities, please call 251-981-3440.

Additionally, the multi-purpose room is available for rental for receptions, club meetings, etc. Due to functions and activities that are ongoing at the Center, dates are limited. Contact Coordinator Justine Clarke at 251-974-2889 to discuss availability.

June 2026 - Senior Center closed June 1-26

The Senior Center is receiving some interior updates, so the facility will unfortunately be closed from June 1 - 26.  During those days, some programming and activities will be shifted to other facilities. 

The following will be held at the Orange Community Center, located at 27235 Canal Road:

• Monday and Wednesday Hand & Foot Canasta - 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. 
• Monday Mah Jongg - 12 p.m. - 3 p.m. 
• Wednesday Beginner Mah Jongg - 12 p.m. - 3 p.m. 

The following will be held OUTSIDE in the green BEHIND the Senior Center:

• Tuesday Yoga: Stretch & Balance - 8:30 a.m. -9:30 a.m.
• Thursday Yoga: Low Impact Strength & Mobility - 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.

*Please note that there will be NO PUBLIC ACCESS to the Senior Center facility during the renovations.  All other regular activities will unfortunately be cancelled during this time.

The facility is currently scheduled to reopen Monday, June 29, and activities will resume as normal with lots of fun activities planned for July as part of Parks & Recreation Month. Thank you for your understanding in this process
