About the Event
In celebration of Parks and Rec Month, we are transforming Snook Park into the ultimate community block party. This family-friendly evening is designed to bring neighbors together to celebrate summer, play games, and experience the power of community in under-utilized green spaces in our area.
Pack your lawn chairs, gather the kids, and join us for an unforgettable evening of outdoor fun!

Think you have what it takes to be crowned the Orange Beach Hot Dog Eating Champion? Deadline to apply is July 1st, 2026-musts be 18 years of age or older! Approved contestants will be notified by email.

Grand Prize: A custom America's 250 themed hot dog trophy, FREE 1-year membership to the Orange Beach Adult Fitness Center, Orange Beach Parks and Rec swag bag, and ultimate neighborhood bragging rights will be awarded to our top finisher!
Activities & Highlights
Music & Entertainment: Enjoy live tunes by the incredible Smokey Otis Band playing all evening long!
Food & Fun: The Orange Beach Fire Department will be on-site grilling up delicious hot dogs, and the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber will be on-site selling adult beverages!
Community Games: Inflatable slip and slide, giant lawn games, Jen's Bay Balloons face painting, craft activities, and fun for kids and adults alike.
Know Before You Go
Admission & Fees: Attending the block party and enjoying the food is completely free and open to everyone—no registration required! Only contestants for the Hot Dog Eating Contest need to sign up in advance.
What to Bring: We highly recommend bringing your own lawn chair/blanket to enjoy the music and hot dog eating competition. Plus, a towel/change of clothes for the kiddos!
Parking & Transportation: Event parking is available at City Hall, the Finance building, and Community Development building. Golf cart usage is highly encouraged for our local residents, and walking or biking from nearby neighborhoods is a great option, too!
