Hurricane Decals
Hurricane decals will be available starting Tuesday, May 27th.
Hurricane re-entry decals cover the next three years (2025-2027). Please be aware that, according to City Ordinance, the distribution of these stickers will cease immediately once a Tropical Storm Warning or Hurricane Warning is issued for our area.
Decals: Are valid for the three years of 2025-2027. DO NOT attach them to your windshield unless required to re-enter the city after an evacuation.
Issuance: Two decals will be provided for each property.
- Condos, Townhomes, and HOA: If you live in a condominium or belong to a homeowners’ association, your hurricane stickers will be distributed through your respective associations.
- Single-Family Residences Pickup: Residents of single-family homes can pick up their decals at the Finance Department, located at 4099 Orange Beach Blvd. (**Finance is now behind City Hall**). Office hours are Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Rentals: Two decals are issued, one for the owner and one for the renters. Renters will need to bring a copy of a current lease to receive their sticker.
Required Documentation: To pick up your decals, please bring proof of residency and a current City utility account.
Beach Pass: Please remember – hurricane decals are not for beach parking in Orange Beach. Beach parking decals for Gulf State Park and resident parking passes for CoastAL are available at the front desk of City Hall.
Hurricane Decals 2025 to 2027
Decal colors for 2025-27:
- Beach overlay district: blue with white lettering
- All property locations north of the beach overlay district: white with orange lettering.
Once a tropical storm or hurricane warning has been issued, NO hurricane decals of any type will be available.

Utilities
Utilities are defined as electric, natural gas, telephone, internet, water, and portable toilet companies. In some cases, utilities may utilize contract employees who should be able to furnish some form of identification that they are working with a utility.

Businesses (By Zone)
- Each properly licensed business with a Storefront located within the City of Orange Beach, their business license should have a notation stating the level and zone.
- Each properly licensed business with Home Occupation will use their resident passes to access their property.
Residents (By Zone)
Each owner of improved residential property will be furnished with two (2) re-entry passes to their residence. Residents may purchase two (2) additional passes for $10.00 each. Residents who live aboard a boat will be included in this section.
LEVEL FOUR RE-ENTRY
Contractors
You can get the Hurricane Level notation on your business license for each properly licensed General Contractor, Home Builder, Roofer, Plumber, and Electrician with an active permit with Community Development.
LEVEL FIVE RE-ENTRY
All zones are open, there are no restrictions.
