- Can I have my sewer and garbage service charges drafted from my account?

Yes, we can draft monthly service charges from your checking account. Please go to the OpenGov link for Utility Billing Authorization for Bank Draft at https://orangebeachal.portal.opengov.com/. (An account will need to be created on OpenGov in order to submit the authorization form. Learn about creating an account on the OpenGov resources page.)
- What is the lodging tax rate in Orange Beach?

The current Lodging Tax Rate is 16% (City of Orange Beach - 10%, State - 4%, Baldwin County Lodging - 2%).
- Can I pay online or over the phone?

While we do not currently accept Business Licenses payments online we do accept Credit Card payments over the phone with a 2.95% convenience fee. To pay taxes online, go to the Alabama Department of Revenue website.
Online Utility Bill Paying: Beginning at 9 a.m. May 6th, billing and payments will be available at https://orangebeachal.taxandrevenue.opengov.com/.
- Do I contact your office for property tax issues?

Property taxes are handled by the Baldwin County Revenue Commissioner. You can get information from the Baldwin County Revenue Commission website, or call the Foley Satellite Courthouse at 251-943-5061.
- Do I need a business license to rent my condo or house even if a management company handles the rental for me?

Yes, the license is the responsibility of the owner not the management company.
- Do you have a drop box?

Yes, 4099 Orange Beach Blvd, the SOUTH-REAR Entrance of City Hall, (facing the Fire Department). If you are picking up after business hours, to the left of the Finance Department's doors is a white mailbox.
- When and where do I get business hurricane decals?

Businesses do not receive decals, it will be coded on your business license if you are located in Orange Beach. The business license will need to be up-to-date for it to be effective.
If you have a home-based business, your residential decal will get you back on the island.
- When and where do I get re-entry hurricane decals?

Ono Island, Condo owners, and Home Owner associations obtain passes from their Property/Owners' Association.
Residential passes can be picked up in the Finance Department office at 4099 Orange Beach Boulevard, behind City Hall, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
Decals will not be issued once a named storm has entered the Gulf. Do not affix tags to your vehicle until required to return to the island.
There is a charge for replacement decals.
If there is a renter, one decal goes to the renter; one decal goes to the owner.
- When do I have to renew my business license?

The license expires December 31 of each year, however, it does not have to be renewed during December. Business owners have until January 31 to renew without penalty. - Who do I call if I have a garbage problem such as a missed pickup or damaged can?

- When is trash pick up? My trash hasn't been picked up, who do I call?

You can refer to our Trash and Recycling page to find out when your trash will be picked up.
If your trash has not been picked up at the appropriate time, you can call the Finance Office's main number at 251-981-6096.
